Funeral

Nick Shopland's funeral is on Wednesday 10th February at 12 noon at Ashton Court Mansion. All are welcome to attend the funeral and pay their respects.

Nick 'Shoppo' Shopland died on Friday 29 January 2010 of heart attack. It is a huge loss to his family, Cotham Park RFC and rugby as a whole.

Following the tragic death of Cotham’s 2nd team captain Nick Shopland on Friday morning there was a fittingly solemn atmosphere as Cotham Park hosted Cheltenham Saracens this Saturday.

Training

Training is back on at the club on Tuesday nights, Meet at 6.45 for a 7pm start.

Fire!

Friday 13th November – an unlucky date for Cotham Park’s Failand HQ as a serious fire ripped through the clubhouse late in the evening. Luckily a quick response from the fire brigade ensured damage was kept to a minimum and was not structural. The fire was made safe by 1.30am on Saturday 14th, but left behind a scene of devastation.

CPRFC Welcome Pack now available

The club has put together a welcome pack for all new, existing, and prospective club members. It explains everything that you might possibly want to know about the club.

Many thanks to all the new players who have trained with us this summer. We hope that you're enjoying things so far and that we have a successful 2009/10 season. Remember the first game of the season is on 5th of September so please try to make yourself available for it.

If you haven't been to training yet then don't worry. We're always looking for new (and existing) players of all standards. Come along and see how it goes!
